Georgy Rassadkin, Gunnar's Ranging Domain Manager, has been elected Director at Large of the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section (ISCWSA), helping steer the global standards body for wellbore surveying and ranging accuracy.
Gunnar Energy Services congratulates Georgy Rassadkin, the company's Ranging Domain Manager, on his election as Director at Large of the Industry Steering Committee on Wellbore Survey Accuracy (ISCWSA), the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section. In the role, Georgy will help advance ISCWSA's mission of driving global standards in wellbore surveying and ranging accuracy.
ISCWSA's work underpins how the industry plans and executes directional drilling, anti-collision and wellbore intercept: establishing standardized terminology, developing error models and anti-collision rules, validating survey-tool performance, advancing wellbore intercept practices, and promoting transparency and safety across the sector.
The election reflects the depth of ranging expertise Gunnar brings to the discipline and the company's commitment to the standards that make precise, deterministic wellbore positioning safer for everyone. It came the same week Gunnar co-presented the world's first commercial field results of active magnetic ranging-while-drilling on powered drill pipe at the ISCWSA 62nd General Meeting in Anchorage.
