Gunnar's quality management system has been independently assessed and certified to ISO 9001:2015 by QAS International, covering the planning, provision and support of magnetic ranging services and related consulting for the energy sector.
Gunnar Energy Services has been assessed and approved to ISO 9001:2015, the international standard for quality management systems, by the independent certification body QAS International. The certificate of registration (number US5064) was approved on 18 May 2026 and is maintained through annual surveillance audits of the company's management systems.
The certified scope reads: “Gunnar Energy Services covers the planning, provision and support of magnetic ranging services and related consulting for the energy sector.” It spans the full breadth of the company's work, from relief-well and blowout-intercept response through complex plug & abandonment, well re-entry and the wellbore-positioning programs of the energy transition.
ISO 9001:2015 certification gives operators, partners and regulators independent assurance that Gunnar's engineering, ranging and field-execution processes are documented, controlled, repeatable and subject to continual improvement. For high-consequence well-control and intercept work, that disciplined, auditable quality system underpins the consistency behind Gunnar's field results.
The certification adds to a milestone period for the company, following the world-first commercial deployment of active magnetic ranging-while-drilling on powered drill pipe and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board's decision upholding the validity of Gunnar's core ranging patent.
